What the result flags mean

HuurCheck gives an indicative signal based on the data it could use. Here is what each result means.

Strong red flag

Strong red flag means the entered rent appears high compared with the signals HuurCheck could verify. It does not mean the rent is officially illegal, but it is a strong reason to ask for the puntentelling or use the official Huurcommissie rent check.

Needs closer check

Needs closer check means there are warning signals or missing details that make a closer review useful. Ask for the rent breakdown or puntentelling if you want to understand the rent better.

No obvious red flag

No obvious red flag means HuurCheck did not find a clear warning signal in the available data. It does not mean the rent is officially correct or legally approved.

Not enough verified data

Not enough verified data means HuurCheck could not verify enough property data to give a useful signal. You can still ask the landlord for the puntentelling or complete missing information manually.

About confidence

Confidence shows how complete and reliable the available data was. Missing living area, energy label, contract date or other important information can lower confidence.
